Anna is a painter, draughtswoman and printmaker. Under the name Ann Brain she has had work shown ten times in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and her works are included on the Bridgeman Images website, the leading source of fine art images, where they have been used for a variety of projects including posters, book and CD covers, calendars and greetings cards. She has works in collections in this country and abroad.
Anna was born in Coventry but grew up in leafy Warwickshire. She attended Coventry College of Art, where she was taught by Terry Frost, Michael Sandle and Harry Weinberger, gaining a degree in Fine Art, followed by a post graduate year at London University. For twenty-five years she was Head of Art at Rugby High School for Girls.
Anna is a former chairman of the Association of Midland Artists, & a member of Rugby and District Art Society.
Anna's work is based on a love of the Warwickshire countryside where she lives.
