Paul uses many different mediums to create his paintings and the cityscape series are mainly made using acrylic paints and inks which have been layered using glazing techniques to give very atmospheric effects within each painting. Incorporating silhouetted figures maintains a human dimension without too much detail thus keeping each painting uncomplicated allowing the viewer to easily read it.
