Marie Calvert is a Leamington-based artist with a passion for capturing the ever-changing light and atmosphere of the sea, sky, and land. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, with recent explorations in oil, she has been painting for over 25 years. In 2023, she completed the Porthmeor Programme at the St. Ives School of Painting, a transformative experience that continues to inspire her artistic journey. A regular exhibitor at Warwickshire Open Studios, Art in the Park, and with the Future Rabbit Collective, Marie Calvert also showcased work in St. Ives. Her Icelandic paintings draw from photography trips to the island, though this exhibition focuses solely on painting. Also an Arts Psychotherapist, Marie believes in the power of creativity to heal and inspire.
