Description
Water. Air. Salt. is part of Atelier MIRU's 2019 BEAST collection. The base is a previous painting by the artist that has been overlaid with the eyes, painted in oil, and the feather-like texture created with a sculptural material. There are still glimpses of the painting underneath, which adds dimension and a sense of curiosity.
The piece is a stunning example of contemporary art that marries the surrealist style that has consecrated the artist and its translation into today.
