Description

This tactile sculpture presents a striking interpretation of sensory adaptation. A mannequin head, devoid of eyes, symbolizes the absence of sight, inviting the observer to explore the artwork beyond visual perception.

Instead of traditional hair, the head is adorned with curls shaped like ears, representing the heightened auditory awareness often experienced by deaf individuals.

The surface of the sculpture invites exploration by hand and creates an interactive dialogue between the artwork and the audience. The piece challenges perceptions of disability, celebrating the resilience and creativity of the human body in adapting to its environment.

This sculpture was created for a 'Blind Art' exhibition.
