Description

Angel Escapes to the Sea is another in a series of big vibrant blue underwater paintings of fish in a blue ocean. This particular fish is a golden angel fish and was painted using gold and pearlescent paints to make her sparkle. Angle fish like this would not really be found in the ocean but I liked the idea of her escaping and being free - hence the title. It is a painting about having lots of space and freedom and being happy in solitude. It seemed fitting to paint it during the Corvid 19 lock down so I can escape myself a bit - plus anyone else who wants to! The painting is mostly blue and turquoise and focuses on the sparkling waves at the top and the light patterns made on the sandy bottom of the sea by the light that bounces off them. It tries to capture that lovely holiday feeling you get in the sea on sunny days. Dedicated to anyone who would like a bit of freedom right now. It is 40x40x1.5 inches, white edges, ready to hang, no frame needed. Video:
