Description
Swallows Over the Abbey is a limited edition etching and aquatint by Tim Southall. This print was inspired by the autobiography of a member of the the Royal Flying Corp, Britain's first military aces of World War 1. The scene sees swallows swooping over the ruins of an abbey. The picture is one of tranquility and hope.
This print is an etching and aquatint drawn on a copper plate. It is printed on Somerset Velvet, an off-white heavyweight 300 gsm handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is in a limited edition of 75 and is signed and numbered by the artist. The image size is 10 x 15 cm on a paper size is 20 x 25 cm.
