Description
A Walk in the Snow, shows a couple walking and playing with their dog in a snow covered winter landscape. This is a sugarlift aquatint is on a copper etching plate. This is a process where the image is painted with a sugar solution onto the etching plate. The plate is then coated in acid resistant varnish and finally immersed into boiling water. The hot water dissolves the sugar solution causing the varnish to 'lift' and expose the drawing ready to etch.
This print is an etching and aquatint drawn on a copper plate. It is printed on Somerset Velvet, an off-white heavyweight 300 gsm handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is in a limited edition of 75 and is signed and numbered by the artist. The image size is 20 x 30 cm on a paper size is 32 x 42 cm.
