Description
This print came after a drawing I made one September in Cressingham, Norfolk. The crop was cut and gone and the ground had yet to be readied for the next crop. These in between days are marked by patches, trackways and rough margins. As the Autumn daylight dwindles and fleeting skies bring rain, the fields take on a ghostly cast, the remnant patterns indicate a hard won tradition.
This print was pulled from an engraving cut from rubber. The technique is a sister to lino-printing.
