This work was made for the group Catalyst, Women Art and Science exhibition “Fill the Gap”. Put together as part of Science Week 2005. This exhibition explored the mysteries of the brain and its science. It was dedicated to all those who suffer with Alzheimer's disease and for the people who care for them.
There were seminars and a group visit to Dr. Shelly Allen's laboratory, a Senior Consultant specialising in Alzheimer's disease at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Three workshops were available relating to this exhibition.
L'avenir des statues 1937. An oil on plaster cast of Napoleon's death mask by René Magritte influenced this work.
