Description
The Welsh word 'Hiraeth' captures the sense of a nostalgic yearning for a place or home lost to time and existing mainly in the imagination. The ancient landscape of the English/Welsh borders where I live evokes this feeling for me, and has inspired this new painting in my 'Borderlands' series.
It's painted on square format deep-edge canvas using professional artist quality acrylics, and has a layer of varnish for protection: the sides are painted white.
The painting is initialled in the lower right front and is labelled/signed in full on the reverse; it is unframed and has picture hooks and cord on the back so it's ready to hang.
The painting will be carefully packaged and sent tracked with a reputable carrier; a Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
