Description
The background to this terrier was created using soft pastels and the details of the cloth and dog was undertaken using pastel pencils. The paper I use is Artspectrum Colourfix pastel paper.
The contrast between the brightly coloured blankets, and this little terrier making sure he knows what is going on, is striking.
The reference photo that I have worked from was taken by my wife Cathy at the Puerto Calero market in Lanzarote.
The painting is 11 inches by 15 inches and supplied with a gold frame, 21 inches by 17 inches.
