Description
The Upper Pool of London was part of my childhood in the 1960's when it was full of ships from all over the World.
Noisy…yes. Dirty and misty…yes. But the hustle and bustle was something wonderful to experience. Dockers, Lightermen and humour was all part of the scene back in it's heyday.
I never tire of painting those days. I still like to visually tell the story of the place and events of my childhood. Sunset yellows and oranges and the wonderful colour of rust on the old ships.
