Description
A Perfect Adventure is a large panoramic landscape oil painting in contemporary modern style showing six deer stags running across a springtime meadow. The deer are bounding through the long grasses and wildflowers following the leader. The painting was inspired by the meadows at the foot of the South Downs near Ditchling way in Sussex. Behind the deer you can see a yellow line of buttercups at the edge of the field and a hint of another meadow beyond. In the foreground you can see the green shadow where I was standing under some trees and lots of pink, purple and yellow flowers beyond that. This is a joyful painting as it was a sunny day in late May 2021 and nature was in abundance with birds singing, insects buzzing and flowers releasing overwhelming perfumes. I tried to show this enthusiasm and was pleased with the simple horizontal lines of it.
