Description
Robin on Log – Guardian of the Garden
The Robin (Erithacus rubecula) is one of Britain's most beloved birds, often seen as a friendly companion in gardens and woodland clearings. In this artwork, the robin is shown perched confidently on a mossy log, its vivid orange breast glowing brightly against its soft brown plumage. The stance reflects the bird's alert, territorial nature, forever watchful over its domain.
Robins are present across the UK year-round, their cheerful song heard in every season. Fiercely territorial despite their gentle appearance, they often follow gardeners, hoping to snatch insects and worms turned up from the soil. Their association with winter, resilience, and companionship has long made them a symbol of hope and continuity in
nature.
This edition is faithfully reproduced as a Limited Edition of 150 Giclée prints, using archival pigment inks on fine art paper. Each print is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Poetic Note
Upon a log, it stands so near,
A watchful flame, both bold and clear.
The garden's guard through night and day,
Its song of joy will never sway.
