Description
This lyrical, abstract painting was inspired by an exploration of the theme of love. With 'Speaking From the Heart' I explore the theme of authenticity, openness and connection when we express ourselves in a way that opens us up to vulnerability. Tender as well as difficult feelings might be communicated to another person. The painting is inspired by the delicate feelings that this kind of conversation evokes.
As with all my work, I mix my own paint using pigments and a matte dispersion. The colours in my work are therefore highly pigmented.
The canvas has been painted around the edges in a complementary colour. Hooks and cord are attached at the back – the painting is ready for hanging.
The painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
