Description
A colourful painting of a field close to my home in Somerford as the Autumn harvest began
Painted in the studio from a series of plain air sketches I wanted to capture the feel of Autumn through the use of colour, tone and use of space. The warm palette gives a sense of ageing, whilst the pink sky hints of good things to come. Painted on a ground of gold gesso, small glimmers shine through in the light.
