Prize Winners - UK Artists Annual Show 2016

The UK Artists Annual Show private view was held at the Artists Workhouse, Studley on Friday 23rd September. Prize winners were announced and presented by Studley Councillor Clive Rickhards. 

The judges had a very difficult task, with such a variety of work, and both contemporary and traditional art to consider.

The judges were Tammy Woodrow from the Leamington Art Gallery & Museum and Dawn Harris from the Artists Workhouse in Studley.

The prize winners were...

1st Prize: 'Guardians' by Les Rucinski.
£150 sponsored by Jackson's, London.

2nd Prize: 'Beat from the Sound Box' by Janice Thwaites.
£50 sponsored by Chrome Yellow Arts, Leamington Spa.

'Industry' Themed Prize: 'Redundant' by Andy Farr.
£50 sponsored by UK Artists, Leamington Spa.

Highly Commended: 'Spring Hare' by Estelle Robinson.

The UK Artists Annual Show continues until Sunday 2nd October 2016.

The public had a chance to vote for their favourite artwork and the winner was 'Rocky Shore' by Michele Wallington.
