Sandra Haney: March Artist of the Month and Jackson's Art Prize 2025 Shortlist

We are delighted to announce that our March Artist of the Month, Sandra Haney, has been shortlisted for Jackson’s Art Prize 2025! Out of an incredible 12,964 entries from 129 countries, Sandra’s artwork has earned a place on the Extended Longlist —placing her among the top 25% of entries. This is a fantastic achievement, and we eagerly await the next stage of the competition, with the Longlist announcement set for Friday, 21st March.

Sandra has spent the past three years working on a captivating series of oil paintings inspired by landscapes along the railway lines in the North of England, between Durham and Yorkshire. These atmospheric pieces beautifully capture the changing seasons and shifting moods of the landscape, blending elements of abstraction and movement with evocative details.

Her paintings have resonated with collectors both in the UK and the USA, with several pieces from this series finding new homes. However, there are still a number of these stunning paintings available to purchase through UK Artists.
