I am a Fellow of The Royal Society of Art, and one of only a few women worldwide to be elected a full member of The Society of Architectural Illustration.In October 2025, I was elected to the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers, one of the most ancient livery companies of the City of London (with roots going back to the 13th century), and following in my father’s footsteps, in March 2026, I was made a Freeman of the City.The vibrant colours of flowers always fascinated me, and I discovered that watercolour was the perfect medium to capture their qualities. I think that their appeal is timeless, and I hope to convey both the calm and vitality I always feel in studying my subjects. In recent years, my work has diversified considerably to include portraits, birds, and animals.Some years ago, I was commissioned to paint a florist’s shop, and the subsequent image was reproduced as greeting cards and prints. The result of that initial painting was a flow of commissions for local shop fronts and houses all over the world, and I have also developed an extensive range of greeting cards and other products. I’ve also done some design work for a company producing art projects for Crafts4Kids, an online children’s store that led to further art commissions for festivals, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and heart & kidney charities raising money for life-saving operations.&method=button "Share with Pinterest"){kind=small}
