I am seeking primarily to develop and portray the relationships between the world which is seen and that which is not seen, the spiritual and the natural. In a similar way in which 20th-century painter Robert Rauschenburg sought to bridge the gap between his art and life i use found objects and a combination of sculpture and painting alongside a mode of abstraction to create a way of seeing in the hope of giving people a channel to relate the two spheres without putting spirituality into a separate category which has no relevance to life here on earth.
This approach is partly evangelistic but also for believers too: who might perhaps see possibilities which they never considered before. The works are intended to be objective but also uses elements of the subjective and the realm of the senses to achieve the aforementioned goal.

I am a faith based artist graduating from Moray College of art with a BA(hons) in fine art.
Broadly expressive and abstract, drawing on street art and street cultural influence I am currently exploring my engagement with sculptural materials in the context of painting. Inspired by artists like Robert Rauschenburg I have drawn on spatial elements in my work invoking a grasp on the tangible and real whilst suggesting the subjective. My work also includes digital imaging which is an area I intend to explore more.
I have engaged in a variety of exhibitions by my own initiative before attending art school including curating the celebrated Broken wooden toys Exhibition which showcased seven emerging artists, also including a short residency at the Village small business initiative in Inverness in 2012.
Since graduating from art school I have participated consistently in successful exhibitions including two solo exhibitions one of which contained around fifty of my works.
My work has become a channel of useful dialogue with others which I belief can influence change and show people different perspectives.
