Jo Clavier

My paintings tend to be based on landscapes but become more abstract as they develop and interesting shapes appear. I am fascinated by colour relationships, and I like to push the boundaries of the colours I see in the landscape.

I look for abstract possibilities in the things I see around me, and my recent work has been inspired by the Suffolk coastline with its estuaries, creeks and reedbeds.
