I work mostly in oil but sometimes in acrylic and mixed media.
My work is driven by my desire to express my emotional responses to my subject and this produces works that move from realism towards abstraction.
I love to paint the east coast of northern England where I grew up and I am presently working on a series of Spanish paintings taking paint & canvas to the beach.
My work has been exhibited at a variety of venues, including Warwick Castle with the visiting Canelettos, Mecardo Gallery, Where I Fell In Love Gallery, Slate Gallery, Art in the Park Leamington Spa, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Rugby Art Gallery, Clay Barn Gallery in Redhill Alcester, and has been accepted for the prestigious Midlands Open. I also exhibit in my own Gallery Studio at home for Warwickshire Open Studios and other events for artists in England.
