Chrissie Markham is willing to accept commissions
I graduated from art college in 1988 and have worked as an illustrator and designer for 20 years. Working with many major design companies and illustrating for environmental companies, children's book publishers both educational and fictional and many fashion houses. Since 2004 I have worked mainly on private and commercial art commissions. I have also created art and craft workshops for children in local schools and theatres.
I work in various mediums including pen and ink, charcoal, watercolour, acrylic and oils, but always mixing my colours with fabric, plaster, glue, resin and wool, to give my surfaces texture and character. I work from my studio at home, I paint usually from recollection, sketches and photographic images taken while out on my travels. A lot of my work tends towards painting the abstract image, although I feel that all art is a form of abstraction! I love colour, to express how I feel at the moment of painting, I often use rich, strong, vibrant colours,
