She loves celebrating WOMANHOOD, the feminine and what makes a woman. Her unique story, how she came about, found her unique voice, and how she stands up for herself.

Her first photography project focused on women who made their mark during war and upheaval, such as Women Who Served during World War Two and another project about Women who reinvented themselves after 50.

Her work has since evolved into more conceptual creations with a new project called From Being Seen to Being Heard, The Silent Heroines of the Quiet Rebellion and created under the influence of artists and painters like Artemesia Gentileschi, inspired by the painting techniques of renaissance and baroque paintings with a strong focus on light and shadows. But also the bewildering look of a woman who had to hide from who she was.

The project aims to grow louder with every progressive era until we see woman's rights being celebrated at last! This series starts with the Renaissance periods and moves to Regency and Victorian.

Rachel loves the process of working on a photography project as much as she like creating photographs. The anticipation and the creative thinking are everything she loves about a project she can work on from scratch. She can never lay her cameras down as a photographer and a creative. She sees the world through a lens and as scenes from a movie set. You might say, "she is obsessed". But after two years of being confined and unable to travel, she was more than happy to travel again and wander with her cameras.

If she calls herself a contemporary feminist artist, she is a light chaser first navigating between audacity and elegance. She also loves creating images under the influence of movies telling the visual story of a woman enjoying her freedom, photographing land and urban scapes like in a Wim Wenders movie. She loves using my analogue medium format cameras for these images.

Women Who Reinvented Themselves after 50". With this portrait photography project my aim was to inspire Women I wanted to create a photographic collection which shows women the endless possibilities of what they can achieve after 50. The portraits printed on Canson Baryta Giclée paper where exhibited at
