Description
The name 'Galah' itself originates from the Yuwaalaraay Aboriginal people. The changing curved patterns of deep greens, browns and gold leaf applied throughout the entire piece pay respect to aboriginal culture, and bring to light the flowing technique of bush leaf- like painting. Overall the piece was constructed to bring happiness, a sense of unity and humour to the viewer, as well as highlighting the utter beauty of the Galah cockatoo.
