After many years as a freelance illustrator I am at last finding time away from clients and deadlines to work on some bigger canvases. I like experimenting with colour, texture, pattern and collage and have enjoyed moving up a few brush sizes! Sometimes I paint whatever comes into my head, usually drawing on memory and imagination rather than direct observation. Sometimes I am asked to paint specific coastal villages and seascapes, so I travel to Cornwall and Devon to sketch and photograph. My paintings are exhibited in several galleries in the West Country, as well as nearer to home in the Cotswolds and Warwickshire.
