Description
With Pilgrim, l was pushing my own boundaries and the usual ideas of solidity depth and perspective have been distorted so although everyone can see the figure, and sense the density of the vision, there are visual leads into seeing other vistas.
This is what l love to do, to create a recognizable motif whether it be in landscape or figurative work, but also l am trying to lead the viewer to use their own imagination.
Pilgrrim is painted on top of, behind and between a sheet of museum glass and museum-grade Perspex. The Perspex is UV protected and cleaning the surface should be done with a lint-free cloth.
I was completely seduced by my trip to Venice, for a city that's entirely man-made it is incredibly beautiful.
